The Murphy Brothers Band / Solstice Committee Member

The Solstice Festival held on Father’s Day each and every June is one of the Area’s top events that everyone looks forward to attending.
We have many people to give credit to for pulling the event off each and every year.
The Solstice committee who start the planning months before the event organizing volunteers, security, the band line up, generators and all things that have to be done to set up the entire area.
With this said a special mention needs to be given to Advertising and Design, they keep the wheels on the bus so to speak. For most of the committee members Solstice planning starts in early Spring but for Advertising and Design they are working on the event behind the scenes before, during and after. There are many things that they do behind the scenes that are crucial to the success of this Festival.

Our first year in working with Advertising and Design was eventful and productive. Our organization had no recent experience using a professionally coordinated marketing program for its public events. Pulling together the bits and pieces into an overall plan was challenging. Along the way we have found gaps and opportunities that had long been overlooked. We have enjoyed and appreciated the counsel and are looking forward to increased participation in many of our signature events in the next year. Our work together has given us confidence in considering new events/activities that can result in utilizing our facilities and programming in new ways. The name of the game for us is traffic, positive evaluations of the experiences of our guests, and bottom line. I think we are on the move toward improvements in these key benchmarks because we have the benefit of the expertise and ‘can-do’ ethic of the folks at Advertising and Design, Inc.
